What we delivered

  • Website design & build (WordPress)
  • Incident reporting & support request forms
  • Help topics and resource pages
  • Community finders (Gurdwara, langar, Punjabi schools)
  • Accessibility and emergency messaging

03The Challenge

People often reach the site at a difficult moment: after a hate crime, discrimination, family pressure or a mental-health crisis. The site needed to build trust immediately, explain what help is available without legal jargon, and give a clear path to report an incident or request support.

It also had to point people to urgent help when they are in immediate danger.

04Our Approach

  1. Trust first

A calm, confident visual identity and the message "Confidential. Community-centered. Culturally aware." set the tone on every page.

  2. Plain-language help topics

Each area of support, from hate crimes to transnational repression and child grooming, has its own clear, approachable page.

  3. Short paths to help

Report an Incident and Get Support are always one click away, with a click-to-call 1800 number.

  4. Community connections

Finders for Punjabi and Gurmat schools, the nearest Gurdwara Sahib and langar connect people with local support.

05The Solution

The finished site leads with "Supporting Our Community. Protecting Your Rights." and guides visitors through seven help areas, community resources and secure forms. A clear emergency notice directs anyone in immediate danger to call 000.

Key features

  • Seven help areas with dedicated guidance pages
  • Incident reporting and support request forms
  • Click-to-call 1800 support line

  • Emergency notice on every page

06Impact

  • One trusted place for Sikh Australians to seek help
  • Clear routes to report incidents and request support
  • Community resources connected to the organisation’s advocacy
  • A foundation the organisation can grow with new resources
